After spending a number of years as missionaries in Colombia, South America, Pastor Jorge Ballivian and his bride, Cindy, moved back to the United States and dedicated their lives to youth ministry. During that time, Jorge and Cindy became well known in the area schools and community—Jorge, a mentor and friend, and Cindy, everyone's favorite 'bonus mom.' After years of serving area youth and the community, Jorge and Cindy felt it was time to retire from youth ministry. Little did they know, God had another plan in store for them. In November of 2019, Jorge and Cindy Ballivian, along with a group of faithful friends, opened the doors of The River Church. Pastor Jorge continues to lead The River Church, and he is supported and assisted by a leadership team. Sadly, Cindy passed away on November 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus, but her legacy of love, service, and faith continues to inspire those who knew her.
